wow i know its been a minute. but i been busy. gosh. anyways i want to end the 2008 year on a good ol [music]note. the top songs of 2008. here we go.

5. "If I Were A Boy"- Beyonce "I Am...Sasha Fierce"
*So most people who know me would have thought that I was gonna put her as number one. Um, no. I loved the song. It showed a musical style from her I love. Raw, uncensored and real. Though all her music is good, their always chant-and response songs that basically make you shake your ass. I think this album showed a diffenrent side to her (as she wanted. Hint: Split albums + Split personalities). IWAB was a song Bee surely too a risk on- and it was worth it.


4. "A Milli"- Lil Wayne "The Carter III"
*This song personifies hip-hop in my view. Straight up freestyle, no hook, just straight spittin. Dope ass beat and raw lyrics that make you want to repeat every word. Weezy did it on this one. And ironically he sold 'a milli' in the first week. It was meant to be. "im beast im goblin/ ok your a goon/ whats a goon to a goblin?"

3. "Mercy"- Duffy "RockFerry"
*Amy Whinehouse cracked out, so we got Duffy and a hot ass song. Mercy is a classic love song about basically giving it your all. I mean she did it with this one. We needed this classic old soul music, that Amy was just not supplyin us. Hopefully Duffy becomes the UK's shinin light, and not a dope fiend. Then we can continue gettin this wonderful music.


2. "Sinlge Ladies (Put a Ring On It)- Beyonce "I Am Sasha Fierce"
*So 'Sasha' did it again. She made us get up in the club, shake out asses and put our ring finger in the air. This was a anthem for all the single ladies and all the married ones too. Those who wanted it, and those who got it. Go on head. This is a classic banger. Ya'll know we love sasha fierce. I would have to say this is better then "Crazy in Love". Yep, I said it.


1. "Swagger Like Us"- T.I. and Jay-Z Featuring Kanye West and Lil Wayne "Paper Trail"
*This song was bananas. From the beginning to the end. Ye started it off perfectly. "how it feel to wake up and be the shit and the urine". He gave us the same ol kanye swag and cockiness. I love it. Jay serinated the track "cant wear skinny jeans/ cause my knots dont fit". Yes. My fave part was when he said "But I can't teach you my swag/You can pay for school but you can't buy class". Perfect. Wayne gave it to us too. "Rules as follows stay true to the ghetto
Write your name on the bullet make you feel special". What? Who says that. And you know T.I. had to give it to us. "Living revolutionary, nothing less than legendary,
